Crown fell out while flossing. I called Dr Byers office after hours, got his cell and called him. He answered, set up at appointment for 8 the next morning, and by 9:00 AM I had the crown back in (pain free!) and was on my way.

Dr Byers is kind, efficient, and very skilled. He explained everything he was doing, did it quickly and well, and is a model dentist.

I've been a patient of his for years and will continue to be; he runs an excellent practice!

I have been looking for a new dentist since moving to San Diego from San Francisco about a year ago and after one failed attempt with another office (not a good experience) I finally found the perfect place! Everyone at Dr Byers office is so friendly, professional, organized, and knowledgeable. Dr Byers helped me immediately with a few issues I was having and I received a thorough and comfortable cleaning. The office is charming, in an older converted home with a lot of character and there are bird feeders outside every window. I felt so relaxed while there. I'm glad I found my new dentist!

My prior dentist passed away and I broke a tooth. I asked folks I respected about their dentists, and Dr. Byers office came highly recommended. I am somewhat averse to the dentist in general, but I am happy to say that Dr. Byers is my new dental group and I have no fear with them. I had my appointment today, and I was surprised and pleased they could repair my tooth in just one appointment. I was fearful I would need a crown, but not at this time.They were VERY patient, and explained each step thoroughly to make sure I was comfortable. Even though I broke very close to the nerve, there was no pain. If I had a dentist like this growing up, I would not have my fear of the dentist!I did not meet everyone in the office, but all the folks I did meet were patient, professional, and very kind. It is a friendly office and easy to get to. I went ahead and scheduled a cleaning since I have now made Dr. Byers office my new dentists.They not only fixed my smile, they alleviated my nerves about having dental work done. I would recommended this group to anyone looking for a great dentist.

I am so lucky to be able to walk around the corner to this neighborhood dentist. Dr. Byers and his staff are not only extremely professional, they are warm and welcoming and funny! The environment couldn't be better with comfortable mission-style furniture in the waiting room of this historic house in (baja) Kensington. Despite the age of the house, they have every modern dental convenience. And they make sure you won't forget an appointment with text reminders. Hummingbird and other feeders outside every window so that you can watch nature while your mouth gets the royal treatment. Always feels like family. Cookies await you after each visit. And if you have an afternoon appointment, you might even get to share in an adult beverage. They are unique in that they rotate inflatables on their lawn throughout the year with a new addition for summer 2019 - enormous beach balls rolling around inside the fence.

I have been coming here for 2 years. The dentists and staff here are super friendly and incredibly thorough. They explain everything along the way and give detailed guidance about ways to keep my teeth and gums healthy. The office itself is a super charming historic-seeming (but well-outfitted) building that makes me feel at home.

If I could give ten stars I would! Recently I had a fractured back molar that became infected, and had hoped I'd have time to research dentists before it got too bad. Well that didn't happen, and I woke up one morning with a fever and in total agony and knew it was an emergency. Amazingly they were able to get me in immediately to have the molar extracted. Everyone at the office was incredibly nice, and despite my pain they had me cracking up before and after the procedure. I was in and out in less than an hour, and even though one of the molar's roots was pretty curved, they had no problem getting the tooth out in one piece without breaking it. I was very impressed. And I felt immediate relief! And the rates were less than I was expecting too, especially given the emergency nature of the appointment! I've been to many, many dentists in my life, and I have never been able to say that I've had a 'great' experience at any of them before. ('Good', yes, but not 'great' or 'awesome'.) This was an *awesome* experience. I had no problems healing, and was able to easily follow their after-care directions. Seriously BEST DENTIST EVER. I live very close to the office but no matter where I live in Southern California, I will always be back. Thank you so much everyone at Dr. Byers!!!

I absolutely hate the dentist and my visit to Dr. Byers' office yesterday changed all of that. I've admired their myriad front yard decorations for years and finally decided to make an appointment and am so glad I did. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by everyone's kindness and attention (not to mention the assortment of amenities to enjoy while waiting). When I expressed my general anxiety about the dentist, everyone quickly put me at ease and treated me with such compassion. It was honestly the best dental appointment I've ever had and can't believe I'm actually looking forward to seeing them again in the future. Thank you, Dr. Westwood, Aaron, Allie, Linda and to all who work there and made my day infinitely better with your skill, care, and friendliness.

Where do I begin? I went in for tooth pain, let's start by saying I hate the dentist And will avoid it at all cost. Reached out to Steven Byers office. I was greeted on the phone by Aaron, he explained to me the process since I don't have medical insurance and told me not to worry, and to come on in. When I arrived I was promptly seen and taken to the back room where I was met by dr beyers and his assistant. They were both so nice and calmed me down tremendously. I can honestly say I felt like I was at home while in their office and my anxiety went away, and they were able to pull my tooth out. Happy to say I was so pleased with their service I made another appointment to get more work done. I would recommend this office to anybody.

The best dentist, dental hygienist and best dental office you will ever visit. It's in a converted 1920's craftsman with a lovely yard. That sets the tone for the whole experience. It's warm and welcoming rather than a sterile office building. Open the door and you're met with the aroma of fresh chocolate chip cookies and coffee andAaron gets you like a friend - the entire staff is professional, friendly and fun. What's truly important, though, is the superb level of dentistry. Your teeth are in good hands. Chocolate chip cookies.

I'm quite grateful that Dr. Byers, his wonderful wife Stephanie, and his amazing staff were referred to me a few years ago. They've treated my family and I like an extension of their own while taking great care of our teeth, gums, and health. I have been coming here since 2010. I had gone to some dental office off the 163 where they numbed you and left you for 15 minutes (with your mouth propped open - very uncomfortable) while the dentist went to work on another patient. He couldn't finish the root canal the first time and I had to come back and go through all that torture again. He still couldn't access one root so thankfully a coworker suggested I go to Dr. Byers. All it took was one visit and I haven't gone to anyone since. It's been so long now that I feel like part of the family instead of just another customer. They work with my schedule; something I truly appreciate especially with my job. The only thing I need now is a plane ride

I am so grateful to have the best dentist in the world: Steven Byers (Kensington). Tel: 619-282-7060 I cannot recommend Steve enough! He goes above and beyond what a good dentist would do. I had tooth pain and he offered me an appointment on a Sunday morning! And when the pain continued, he came back to the office to give me a root canal at 9:45PM on a Sunday night. Amazing! What a great guy! I cannot praise him enough. Also, his wife Stephanie came to the office to assist him. I am a huge fan of hers: she is a really wonderful dental hygienist. And I must mention how terrific Aaron and Ashley are - they make the office run so beautifully. What wonderful people! Thanks again to you all! I really appreciate all of you! I was referred here by a friend. My tooth broke (it was cracked for a long time, finally bit into chicken and it broke. I need a cooler story -I know.) it was more cosmetic than painful but still... don't have insurance. Just stopped in there on my way home from work to talk appointments, money, treatment etc and they FIXED IT right there, same day! And have a six month payment plan. Pleasantly surprised, wonderfully professional.

The best dentist I've ever seen, the only one I've ever made a second appointment with. Incredibly quick and gentle ( relative to other experiences I've had, this is still dental work after all there's no such thing as waiving a magic wand ). I don't have anything but compliments for the entire staff, they have been lovely, fit me in for a same day appointment and made me as comfortable as possible. Costs were straightforward ( as much as they can be, remember that your own insurance has a great deal to do with inconsistencies concerning cost, NOT the practice itself.) The waiting area invokes memories of your grandmothers house, in a very good way, it is charming and cozy. The staff were jovial, had great senses of humor, and were professional. I really can't recommend highly enough, I've already told my fiancé to make an appointment.

I really like this dental office. Have the whole family set up here and we actually look forward to our visits. The entire staff seem to get along and the dentist treats them with care and respect. Dr. Nicholas Westwood has done a great job taking care of myself and my family. Love the feel of the office, its warm and inviting. Dr. Byers office is unlike any other place.

The absolute best experience I’ve ever had at a dental office. Dr. Buyers and his staff went above and beyond to make this an absolute amazing experience. They treat their clients like family and they got me in and out in no time! Without a doubt Dr. Buyers will be my new go to.
